In 2005, Tommy Boy launched Silver Label, the worlds first GLBT Lifestyle and Culture imprint. Conceived and co-founded by Rosie Lopez & Victor Lee, Silver Label's goal is to find and develop artists and products that give voice and face to the gay aesthetic. The label's main focus will be in developing artists, music and media in 3 areas: Live Entertainers, Lifestyle (Home / Holistic / Educational / Dance) and brand-driven products.
Silver Label has released soundtracks for the "L Word," "Queer As Folk," "Goldfish Memory," "The Heights."
On the artist front, Silver Label has become most known very recently for the soaring success of their first rock band, The Cliks, which will for their second year join The True Colors Tour and is recording their second album this summer (2008). The label also received praise for releasing the live Carnegie Hall concert album by the controversial out lesbian Mexican ranchera singer, Chavela Vargas. Fall 2008 will see the Silver Label debut of former Chanticleer singer Matt Alber, with his romantic pop album, "Hide Nothing."
On the danceDJ front, Silver Label is the home to numerous dance singles as well as headquarters for uber circuit DJ's Manny Lehman and DJ Abel. There are also new albums in the works by Chris Cox, Tony Moran & Kristine W.

Prior to her rise to VP of Tommy Boy, Lopez spent three years as Head of Marketing and International at Tommy Boy. She continues tofocus on setting up marketing plans and budgets on a world-wide level, and in finding artists and projects that have the ability to appeal to audiences on an international level. She has secured the rights and produced soundtracks for "Queer As Folk" and "The L Word," combined sales are in excess of 250,000 units. Much of her time this year has been focused on the internet as a tool for marketing and most importantly as a new form of revenue for the industry and coordinated Tommy Boy's overall launch on the digital and mobile front. Prior to Tommy Boy she was Vice President and General Manager of Masters At Work Records (Little Louie Vega, Kenny Dope, India), Big Life Music and Management (Lisa Stansfield, Soup Dragons, the Orb), and DMC/MixMag (World DJ Championships, first line of DJ Gear in retail stores, "MixMag Update Magazine") and launched one of the first custom manufacturing companies focusing on the synergy between hip hop music and fashion in the early 90's - Street Couture, among her clients were Bad Boy, Tommy Boy Gear, LaFace, and Enyce (the originators of the hip hop gear movement). She has diverse experience in all aspects of the music business overseeing administrative, creative, and production areas of independent record, publishing, and music management companies in genres ranging from Pop, R&B, and Alternative Rock to House and Electronica.

Since joining Tommy Boy in 1992, Victor has made an indelible mark on the label and its artist roster. Victor originally joined Tommy Boy to oversee mix show and club promotion efforts. Two years he added A&R to his responsibilities and in 1998, Victor founded and conceived Tommy Boy Silver Label, with the help of Tom Silverman. Tommy Boy Silver has earned countless #1 Billboard dance singles and has been one of the top dance labels in the country for the past three years.
During his 13 years at Tommy Boy, Victor involved in the A&R & Promotion of Coolio, Queen Latifah, Naughty By Nature, House Of Pain. Victor has executive produced album releases by Amber, Kristine W, RuPaul, Junior Vasquez, Victor Calderone, Abel, Murk, Manny Lehman, Tony Moran. Victor began the General Manager of Tommy Boy Entertainment in 2002.
Victor began his music industry career as a college radio DJ at KGLT in Bozeman Montana in 1984. Returning to Hong Kong in 1985, Victor became the residence DJ of Canton Disco, the No.1 discotheque in Asia Pacific during the late 80's. After a 2 years run at BMG Hong Kong as A&R Marketing Manager, Victor relocated to America. •
